If you have a homebirth with midwives, put a birth announcement in the newspaper announcing that you had a baby at home with a midwife. Send a birth announcement to your legislator, telling them that they have a new constituent born at home. Share your birth story/photos on the OFSB webiste. www.safebirthohio.org
Put a link to OMA's website www.ohiomidwives.org in your signature line for emails. Link to us on your blog, myspace, facebook or website.
Organize a local fundraiser for the OMA legislative fund. A few ideas for fundraising are hosting dinner parties or showings of birth movies or holding yard sales. Be creative and have fun.
Make a donation to our legislative fund. Hiring a lobbyist and printing materials is expensive. A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated! Donations can be mailed to Ohio Midwives Alliance, P.O. Box 14005, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
